Highly successful Club Racer - winner of all three of the Kinsale Yacht Club summer series 2016 and several Cups and Trophy's throughout the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Only sailed this season during the Frostbite series. She comes with a lightly used suit of sails (not new but in great condition). She has been totally refurbished over the last 3 years:
- Her deck was stripped, epoxied and sprayed with top quality AwlGrip paint in 2015.
- Her hull was stripped, epoxied and antifouled earlier this year.
- Her topsides have just been stripped and epoxy primed ready for the top coat of the new owners choice.
- Lightweight rudder.
- New Teak rubbing strakes 2015.
- Most fittings were replaced with a complete new more efficient layout.
- Trailer completely refurbished 2017.
- She is currently having her floor, floor supports and buoyancy tanks replaced with top quality 15-year-guaranteed marine ply.
She is in great condition and good for another 45 years!

Boat in good racing condition.
Navy hull, anti-fouled in red. Name designed on the sides.
Included with the boat:
Stored indoors every winter, only sailed during summer months
Currently in NYC, Dun Laoghaire but happy to tow it to a new home if it suits best.
This fast example is one of the sought-after early numbers (156), believed to be the second-last of the original Oliver Lee-built hulls.
The boat is in good condition, having benefited from several upgrades in its current ownership (e.g. floor replaced with lightweight one-piece construction; forward buoyancy tank replaced). The hull retains the original gelcoat for ease of maintenance and has a teak rubbing strake. It comes with an original Holt glued-section mast - rare and highly prized for their flex characteristics - and a primary suit of sails in good condition. There is an additional selection of serviceable sails (main/jib/spinnaker) suitable for cruising or practice. A new flyaway spinnaker pole system has been recently fitted and a lightweight White Marine racing rudder (with tiller extension and padded carry bag) is included.
Most blocks, cleats and other fittings have been replaced with Harken hardware, and through-deck backstay and barber hauler controls installed. Sheets and halyards are in Dyneema and braided polyester and there are twin bilge pumps.
The boat comes with a basic but solid road trailer, and is anti-fouled and ready for the water. Various ancillary items (e.g. anchor with chain and warp, boathook, Windex) are also included.
Price: €2450 (£2200) ONO
This is a reluctant sale forced by an expanding family, and is a great opportunity to acquire a very desirable example of a classic keelboat. She is priced for a very quick sale, and will be a bargain for her new owner!
I am regrettably selling my squib after many years of fun and competitive racing. I simply do not have the time to race her anymore and I would hate to see her fall into disuse.
Esterelle is a very successful racer.

Squib number 74 (Nyheden) is for sale. It is located in Denmark. Has been used only moderate until 2 years ago, where a new HPL-floor below the teak was installed, and thereafter used/trimmed/updated for frequent use. Stored on land/indoor during winters.
Inner hull recently painted, and access to front of inner can be locked (excellent for storing sails and equipment). Garmin depth logger is installed. Besides mentioned parts, the boat is original and in really good shape. For weight reduction, mentioned parts can easily be removed/reinstalled by buyer.
Price in Denmark…… £3,450 (Handover is possible in France due to a trip)
The speed of this nice boat has surprised several in the local harbor, but sadly we do not have a class for Squibs in DK.
For sale due to purchase of a bigger boat more suitable for distance-racing.
