Its the Jazz Festival at Abersoch this week , its hot, its musical but not alot of wind. Saturdays race and
the last shake out. Unlike last year when pysocological games of luffing each other up the beach was not
played out but the same two players were again testing the tides strength againt the wind. They finished
1st and 2nd inlike lastyear they luffed themselves to nowhere quiet amusing really. Most boats stayed
at thier moorings.
Sunday all out for scrutineering and close inspections of a Blackburn style, low profile rubbing edges
and transoms and very quiet words. I doubt this will occur on the Saturday of the fleets arrival .A slow
tow across the bay and lift out was gtreeted with speed and teamwork. The odd mast was measured the
odd hull weighed but it all will done on the Friday for the SCYC. Polishing of hulls and finalising of
organisation of who is doing what is coming to an expectant close. All we wait for now is good winds
and lots of bon amis. That what we have a plenty at SCYC.
Have a good and safe journey to Abersoch . See you soon Obey the speed limits be warned! on the
roads in the Llyn Peninsula. See you all soon
